Drug Information Databases

Drug Information Portal from the National Library of Medicine gives users a gateway to selected drug information from the National Library of Medicine and other key government agencies.  Such as, physical, chemical, and psychological characteristics, toxicity, consumer information and references from scientific journals.

ChemIDPlus is a chemical dictionary file - use it to get information about a compound including structure, synonyms, physical properties, toxicity and much more.

PUBCHEM  is from NCBI, released in 2004, provides information on the biological activities of small molecules.

TOXNET (TOXicology Data NETwork) has recently moved. It is now part of a broader NLM reorganization, most of the NLM's toxicology information services have been integrated into other NLM products and services.

Comprehensive Toxicology Information (Help for HSDB Users in PubChem) HSDB content is migrated to PubChem.

Toxicology Literature (Help for TOXLINE Users in PubMed) TOXLINE PubMed content has been migrated to PubMed as the "Toxicology subset".  Only the PubMed portion of TOXLINE is represented in the Tox Subset.  For non-PubMed archival TOXLINE content (no Longer updated), please see fft://ftp.nlm.gov/nlmdata/sample/toxspec/

Breastfeeding & Drugs (Help for LactMed Users in Bookshelf) LactMed is migrated to NCBI Bookshelf.
