Researcher IDs

Many large publishers, funding bodies, editors, and institutions require researchers to have a universal digital identifier. Like an ISBN or a DOI this number uniquely identifies a researcher even when she changes her name or changes her institutional affiliation.
The two most common universal digital identifiers are the ORCID (Open Research & Contributor ID) and the ResearchID from Web of Science. Use the links below to get your free universal digital identifier.
