El Paso Medical Libraries: Public (non-TTUHSC) Access

About Public (non-TTUHSC) Access

The TTUHSC El Paso Libraries of the Health Sciences are not public libraries, although they are open to public use. Public patrons are permitted borrowing privileges while in the library, and can utilize the computers if there is room. In addition the TTUHSC El Paso libraries have compiled an extensive list of open access, health related databases. To use these library resources, public patrons must apply for a Community User Card.

Community User Card

  1. Community users can sign up for a free, one year, library borrowing card.
  2. Community users are allowed to place books on hold but can only be used in the libraries. Community patrons are not allowed to take items home/out of the library with them.
  3. Community patrons can check out phone chargers, headphones, etc., but can only be used in the library.
  4. Community patrons only have access to the designated public computers and are subjugated to the proper printing fees if they need to print an item.
