About Distance Education Services

The Distance Education guide is designed to help students find the TTUHSC El Paso library's available resources when they are not on campus.

Distance Education students must be registered with the TTUHSC El Paso Libraries in order to borrow items or to request Interlibrary Loans. You can register online with your eRaider (userID) and password. Complete the personal details information located on the left side of the page and once completed, a library staff member will process your information and approve your account.

By signing and submitting the application, the student accepts all responsibilities stated on the application form.

Reference Services
Professional reference librarians are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday to answer reference questions and to provide assistance in searching the web-based databases or using the libraries' book and journal collections.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is the process used to request a book or journal article not owned by the TTUHSC El Paso Libraries. Books and journal articles may be requested from other TTUHSC El Paso Libraries (Document Delivery) or from other medical libraries (Interlibrary Loan).
Off Campus Login
TTUHSC El Paso distance education students have off-campus access to the electronic resources through the proxy server. When using databases, eBooks or eJournals, an TTUHSC El Paso eRaider login window will appear. Enter your TTUHSC El Paso eRaider username and password and click on "Sign In". This validates TTUHSC El Paso affiliation and allows access to the electronic resources.
Mobile Resources
Many of the TTUHSC El Paso Libraries' electronic resources offer mobile-friendly versions or applications for smartphone and iPad users.
Bibliographic Tools
The Bibliographic Tools and Styles guide will help you organize your research resources and generate bibliographies in multiple citation formats.
